Exploded Whale
In Tainan, Taiwan, a 60 ton 56 foot long spermwhale exploded white being transported on a tractor-trailer by researchers for a necropsy and for research. The whale died on a beach in Taiwan in January, and it took 13 hours, three cranes and 50 workers to get the whale loaded on the truck.
It seems it doesn’t take long for gasses to built up to a critical level in a whale of that size. The gas buildup led to its explosion, spewing whale guts in the street, on the cars and over pedestrians. According to witneses the smell bad enough to force them to use masks. More than 100 Tainan city residents, mostly men, seemed very interested in the whale’s 5 foot long penis, despite the smell.
